History talk on Duane Lake offered
On Monday, September 16th our neighbor, David Vincent, will tell the story of Duane Lake at Bishop Scully Hall, which is located behind the high school at 1735 Alexander Rd, Delanson. The program starts at 7:00 pm and is open to the public.
This program promises to be a very interesting and entertaining account for anyone who lives in the Duane Lake community. Dave and Anne have lived on the lake for more than three decades. He is a member of the Duanesburg Historical Society and former President of the Duane Lake Association.
Heartsaver Course offered Sept. 28th
The DLA, through the Duanesburg Ambulance Corp, will offer a Heart Saving Course. Here's a link to the latest American Heart Association's HeartSaver course info:
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Training
- To sign-up for the course, please contact Pat Huff at pathuff1@hotmail.com or text her at 518-469-0153.
- Pat will need your name, address, contact number and a check for $30 per person.
- Please make your check out to the Duane Lake Assoc. for $30 and in the memo, please write HEART SAVING CLASS.
- You can mail or drop off your check to Pat at (deleted address).
- We will make out one check to the Duanesburg Ambulance Corp for the course.
- CPR as we know it is no longer taught.
- Mouth to mouth is no longer used.
- Only heart compressions are used.
